Day 1:
Depart from your USA gateway aboard your scheduled airlines for an overnight flight to Shannon, Ireland. Cocktails, dinner and breakfast served aboard flight.
Day 2:
Arrive at Shannon Airport and pick up your self-drive car rental OR meet your private driver / guide and begin your drive to your first hotel accommodation. Take the afternoon to enjoy some of Ireland's natural wonders. Starting with a visit the Cliffs of Moher, reaching dramatically 700 feet above the Atlantic. Also recommend, is the Ailwee Cave to see underground rivers and waterfalls. Explore the Burren region, famous for its unique flora, fauna and geology.
Day 3:
Rest in a bit before your late morning tee times at Lahinch Golf Club.
Lahinch Golf Club was founded 1892. It is a Par 72 Irish links style golf course measuring 6,504 yards. Created by Old Tom Morris in 1892 and transformed by Alister Mackenzie in 1927, this links style golf course features a classical design that offers a great deal of variety for every golfer.
Day 4:
Today, we tee off at Doonbeg Golf Club.
Doonbeg Gold Club is a par 72 Irish links style golf course measuring 6,818 yards. This extraordinary new links golf course, designed by Greg Norman, features grass-covered dunes rising nearly one hundred feet above the white capped Atlantic Ocean. Taking in nearly 400 acres and stretching for 1.5 miles around a crescent-shaped beach, Doonbeg has long been described as one of the last true links sites in Ireland or Britain.
Day 5:
Today, we play the most saught after course in Ireland – Ballybunion Old Golf Club.
Ballybunion Old Golf Club is a par 71 Irish links style golf course measuring 6,503 yards. There comes a defining moment in every golfers life where they realize that “it doesn’t get any better then this!” One of the finest links courses in the world and in Tom Watson’s opinion; “the finest!”. Ballybunion is a true test.
Afterwards, we transfer to Killarney for your 3-night stay at your next hotel.
Day 6:
After breakfast, we play Tralee Golf Club.
Tralee Golf Club was founded 1896 and is a par 72 Irish links style golf course measuring 6,252 yards. The present course, designed by Arnold Palmer, is perched on a cliff overlooking the beautiful Dingle Peninsula, Tralee Golf Club is one of the most stunning links courses in the world, offering many dramatic holes that test the skills of golfers at every level. Afterwards, tour the majestic Dingle Peninsula, the setting for the film ‘Ryan’s Daughter’. See some of the most breath-taking views in Ireland at Slea Head and Connor Pass. There is a number of charming fishing villages dotted along the coast where you may wish to stop for lunch.
Day 7:
After breakfast, we play a round at Waterville Golf Club.
Waterville Golf Links was founded 1973 and is a par 72 Irish links style golf course measuring 7,184 yards. Designed by Eddie Hackett. This stunning course was fondly dubbed the “Magnificent Monster” by Sam Snead and is located on the Ring of Kerry buffeted by peninsular winds. One of Europe’s longest courses, Jack Mulcahy and Eddie Hackett transformed this rugged links land into an elegant championship golf course. In the afternoon, tour the world famous Ring of Kerry. For centuries artists and writers have celebrated this kingdom of Kerry, where the contrasting mountain, lake, and coastal scenery is at its most spectacular. This trip promises some of the most celebrated, scenic attractions in Ireland; rugged landscapes, antiquities and attractive villages.
Day 8:
After a leisurely breakfast, we transfer back to Shannon Airport and prepare for your flight back to the USA.
