West Course - This new course was designed be David Mclay Kidd whose portfolio includes the acclaimed Bandon Dunes in Oregan. Like the East the West offers a variety of challenging holes presenting a fresh perspective on the stunning scenery of the Powerscourt Estate. “My intention was to create a challenging course but to do so in a fashion that allowed the occasional golfer to have fun without being beaten up. The fairways have quite a bit of width and the greens are a little larger than usual".
East Course - Following the contours of this mature and historic landscape, the talented golfer and successful Walker cup captain Peter McEvoy designed a testing and rewarding challenge for all levels of golfers. Opened in 1996 the East course quickly gained a reputation as one of the finest golf courses in Ireland. Just 2 years after opening, it hosted the Smurfit Irish PGA championship and in 2001 was the venue for the AIB European senior tour.
