About the Portmarnock Hotel The Portmarnock Hotel is located on 180 acres of Irish coast just a 30 minute drive north of city centre Dublin. The hotel boasts over 130 rooms and suites after completing an addition in August 2006. The hotel continues to grow with the addition of a spa to be completed in February of 2007. The hotel is tasteful blend of modern facilities with the traditional hospitality the Ireland is known for.

The hotel is built on the property owned by the former Jameson Whiskey family estate. Having been built on such historical property the roots run deep with the existing architecture. Kings, noble families, famous painters and daring aviators have all stayed at the Portmarnock Hotel throughout its history. The original house which dates back to 1847 is now home to the famous Jameson Bar as well as a conservatory and an addition piano bar. The house has also become the focal point to continued expansion of the hotel.

Also, at the Portmarnock Hotel is the Osbourne Restaurant, named after famous painter Walter Osbourne. This restaurant offers great views of the garden, golf course and the Irish Mountains. With fresh fish daily and local beef and lamb, you will have the finest dishes prepared by an experienced cook and wait staff.

The closest golf you will find to the Portmarnock Hotel is the Portmarnock Golf Links. Original a separate County Club the golf facilities were added to the hotel in 1995 to complete the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links.
