About Faithlegg House Hotel
The Faithlegg estate was granted by Henry II in 1177 to the Aylward family from Bristol. The Aylwards held huge acreage in Faithlegg until they were dispossessed by Cromwell in 1654.

The property was granted by Cromwell to William Bolton and more than a century later in 1783 the present house was built by Cornelius Bolton, a member of the family.

Financial difficulties were to follow for the Boltons and in 1819 Faithlegg was sold to teh Powers, a wealthy merchant family from Waterford city. They adorned the estate with the stags head and cross which is the Power family crest and also built the nearby Catholic Church.

In 1935 the house was purchased by the De La Salle order of teaching brothers who used it as a novitiate until the 1980's.

The last remaining gap in history is from 1980s until 1998 when Faithlegg House was taken over by Tower Hotel Group and lovingly restored to form the centre piece of a luxury four star hotel with superb conference facilities and extensive leisure amenities complete with its own 18 hole championship golf course.
